Duct Tape Birthday Card

Tomorrow is my nephew’s birthday! I made him a card out of duct tape. The girls are really the experts when it comes to the duct tape crafts. They can make handbags or wallets or roses. They have skillz. They also went to school and left their duct tape stash unguarded.

The inside is the best. If you google “quotes” and anything, you will find appropriate adages on whichever topic you chose. Anything! Even duct tape! There are several duct tape quotes to choose from! What will they think of next? This means that someone out there spends time collecting and collating duct tape quotes and posting them online. This makes me feel a lot better about the time I waste blogging.

My nephew likes Star Wars, so inside the card I wrote:
“Duct tape is like The Force- it has a light side and a dark side, and it holds the universe together.”

I mean, how perfect, right?

I made a little pocket for money, and voila! The coolest duct tape card I ever made! And the only! I didn’t have a plan in my head when I started out, I just kind of improvised. I think I could make some improvements if I do this again, and then maybe I’ll make a tutorial. I mean, imagine the possibilities! This could be a great project to do with kids for Father’s Day, or a quick birthday party gift for a friend from school. You could put a gift card inside, or some hand made coupons for chores. Good stuff, cheap!
